Golf Club Milano - Golf course information & golf holiday offers
The Golf Club Milano was born in 1928, thanks to the indefatigable action of Senator Mr. Giuseppe Bevione and his vision. The planning of the course was committed to the Designer Mr. James Peter Gannon and the operations management was given to Mr. Cecil Blandford who, at a later stage, also became the Secretary of the Club.
Over the spring of 1958, the then-President Mr. Gianni Albertini promoted the construction of the current Club House – which is one of the best in Europe – and of the third course, increasing the club offer to 27 holes.
The famous architects Vietti and Buzzi designed the club house, while the design and execution of the third course was carried out by Giulio Cavalsani, secretary of the Club who later became an excellent designer of golf courses.
He was able to accomplish a superb golf course with 27 holes in only 3 years.
The Club held 8 editions of the Italian Open: 1951, 1952, 1956, 1981, 1984, 1990, 2015, 2016.
The three courses are located inside the majestic wood of the Park of the Villa Reale of Monza, which covers an area of almost 700 hectares. The park is one of the biggest and most ancient in Europe and certainly the biggest one surrounded by walls.

Pro’s comments: the three courses run through the majestic forest of the Monza Royal Park, which covers an area of almost 700 hectares, one of the largest historical parks in Europe and the largest surrounded by walls.
The first and second course are the classic Championship tracks, stage of six Italian Open and countless international and national tournaments. The third course is considered technically more challenging as it is the most sinuous with small greens well defended by numerous bunkers. Recently some changes have been made to the first and second courses that, without changing the natural design of the holes, have added length in many Championship tees for both women and men.
