Valtellina Golf Club - Golf course information & golf holiday offers
In a really stunning environmental context, surrounded by a crown of mountains that embraces the golf course, you can find Valtellina Golf: we are at Caiolo, at the bottom of the valley just outside Sondrio and the view ranges over the terraced vineyards and the chestnuts’ woods up to the Adamello mountain. At 300 m. above the sea, you can play from March to November the rather modern designed course, where long fairways alternate with some very short ones, a very challenging round, with many hazards. Often, in the early afternoon, the wind (the “Breva” as it’s called here) which blows from the West – from Lake Como – to East towards the Adamello, demands an accurate game. The course is rather flat, but water hazards make some of the holes quite tricky and the out of bounds need to be carefully considered too!

Pro’s comment
One of the most complete routes on the Italian panorama. Long but fairly wide holes, alternating with narrower but more affordable holes. Some greens are very undulating and not easy to interpret. Beautiful the hole 3, long par 5 with frontal water obstacle at the first shot and out of bound on the left or the 13, delicate par 4 with the green well defended by a large frontal water obstacle. It is worth mentioning the high standard of maintenance, which makes the course almost always in optimal conditions: one more reason to come and play here if you have the opportunity.
