Golf Club Folgaria - Golf course information & golf holiday offers
Situated in an exceptionally beautiful natural environment, on a sunny plateau in the Trentino region, Folgaria is a popular holiday destination both in summer and winter. At an altitude of 1.250 m above sea level, in the warmer months it enjoys a temperate and pleasant climate. The fairways meander among spruce woods, which protect the golfers from wind, but often open up, giving breathtaking views. With a unique personality, Folgaria golf course is undoubtedly spectacular as it unfolds into an ever-changing landscape, alternating between meadows, forests and natural alpine habitat.
Folgaria opened in 1988 with its first 9 holes. More recently, little changes were made to the layout of the old nine holes, new design features were incorporated with a view to simplifying the strategy of the course and in order to make it more golfer-friendly. The refurbishment to the existing holes included the addition of 9 new holes with spectacular mountain views, an imposing pond on the 4th hole and an abundance of wildlife, combining to ensure that every round is an adventure in itself. The course features small, fast sloping greens and undulating fairways, which climb through avenues of trees. This is an extremely attractive, quality course. A perfect example of a mountainous parkland. Maximum use has been made of the natural features of the landscape to meet the needs of golfers of all levels. After the game, do not miss the club-house restaurant, hosted in the beautifully restored rural building of “Maso Spilzi”, a former barn dating back to the 18th century.
