Forte dei Marmi Golf Club - Golf course information & golf holiday offers
Only the name Forte dei Marmi suggests sophistication, high society life, beaches and summer. The “Forte” is, for the Italian and foreign holidaymaker, a synonym of glamour and Dolce Vita since the Thirties, when it already was the favourite holiday resort of nobility, artists, intellectuals and businessmen, who used to choose this coastal strip for a holiday under the Tuscan sun. The legend of the “Capannina”, the universally famous discotheque, dates back to that time and still today lights up the nights of Versilia. The lack of a golf course here was a gap needing to be filled: a goal achieved in the early Nineties, with the opening of what was then called “Versilia Golf Club” and that only recently has been renamed. An exclusive club, with very few members, a club devoted to tourism and to high quality hospitality – it forms part of the facilities of the Versilia Golf Resort – with 18 pleasant and engaging holes. Located just a few hundred metres from the sea and with a stunning panoramic view over the Apuan Alps, the course lies in the perfect location to explore the beautiful Versilia seaside places and the most famous historic cities of Tuscany.

Pro’s comments
This excellent course is located in the stunning setting of Versilia. It is nestled in greenery despite being close to the sea, with trees of differing species that have been well arranged to complicate play.
Watch out for Holes 7 and 8, two par 4s with water hazards defending the greens and Hole 18, reachable from the tee with the first shot, if you hit long and are very good at moving the ball from right to left.
Highly recommended if you are in the area.
