Amendoeira O’Connor Jr. Course

Designed by Christy O’Connor Jnr, the course complements the neighbouring Faldo course and makes the most of its location in the Fertile Valley. Its various water features, including the lakes and waterways that run the length of the course, demand precision and testing of all golfers, while the fertile topsoil has been cleverly designed and planted with mature palms, providing a lush and decorative environment, like an expansive garden oasis.

The course’s tees are generally connected to the fairways, but its long overall distance, water hazards and large greens present challenges. Golfers should also be prepared to read the finely contoured putting surface, which is a powerful feature.
