Castro Marim Golfe and Country Club

Three Terry Murray-designed nine-hole courses – “The Grouse”, “The Atlantic” and “The Guadiana” – make up this impressive golf and country club complex in the eastern Algarve, which offers golfers an enviable playing options including two 18-hole combinations.

All three nines share the same basic characteristics, which are determined by the terrain on which they lie, embodying the oft-quoted description: “following the contours of the land”.

Marincastro occupies an elevated position and offers impressive views of the mountains that separate the Algarve from the province of Alentejo to the north. To the east, the majestic Guadiana River borders neighbouring Spain, while to the south you can see the glittering Atlantic Ocean. Inaugurated in 2001.
