Slovenian Alps golf travel - Experience unforgettable golf holidays!
The Julian Alps are a mountain range of the Southern Calcareous Alps stretching from northeastern Italy to Slovenia, where they rise to 2,864 m at Mount Triglav, Slovenia’s highest peak. In this area lies the charming town of Bled near the Austrian border and just a few kilometres from Ljubljana. Bled is famous for the glacial lake Bled and the iconic castle, which attracted nobility and wealthy guests from all over Europe. Before the Second World War, the first golf course in the former Yugoslavia was established, the Royal Bled, which was remodelled by Donald Harradine in 1972 and became a benchmark in the world of golf, considered by Golf Digest to be the best course in Slovenia.
