Al-Imārāt al-‘Arabīya al-Muttaḥida or what is better United Arab Emirates (UAE) composed of 7 emirates; Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras al-Khaimah, Sarja and Umm al-Qaywayn were constituted by the 6 sheikhs in 1971 after freeing themselves from British rule forming the capital in Abu Dhabi and the most famous and populous city being Dubai.

This oil and gas rich nation has also been able to exploit tourism, in recent decades, where especially in Dubai, the incomes exceed those of hydrocarbons. According to the last census, there are 26 golf courses spread mostly in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and also some in Ras Al Khaimah and Sharjah being in Dubai in 1988 the first course built in the area, giving appointment from that date to great former players and golf course designers to create true works of art on the grass such as Faldo, Norman, Olazábal, Player or architects like Kyle Philips and Gil Hanse to name a few.
With an average temperature of 27 degrees Celsius and low annual rainfall, playing golf in the sunshine is a guarantee and although it can get extremely hot during the summer during the day, golfers will have the opportunity to enjoy their swing in the evenings on numerous well-lit golf courses.
