The Montgomerie Dubai Golf Club has been laid out over 265 hectares by designers Colin Montgomerie and Desmond Muirhead. Its course, over 7000 meters from the black tees, offers the golfer undulating link-land style fairways, with wide and deceptive landing areas, as it has 81 sand bunkers well distributed around the course and 14 lakes that can be circumvented with precise shots. Its generous greens have a lot of shape and can turn an easy putt into a double bogey. A peculiar hole is the Par 5 on the 4th, a dogleg with two bunkers guarding the green resembling the eyes of a snake. However, it is the final Par 5 hole, a true golfing gem 600 meters long, requiring a great shot to avoid the water on the front of the green. Dare to reach the green in two!
