Somabay Golf and Country Club The Cascades is not only the first golf course to open on the western coast of the Red Sea, but it is also the first championship golf course to be created in the Middle East, designed by one of the "Big Three", the Big Three (Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer), namely Gary Player.
The 18-hole, par 72 course offers unforgettable views of lush and exemplarily manicured fairways that contrast impressively with the rugged desert and the crystal clear blue waters of the sea. Next to the championship golf course is the 9-hole short course, par 3, also built by Gary Player.
It offers both beginners and advanced players the opportunity to practise a wide variety of shots. The focus here is primarily on improving the short game. The Par 3 Challenge Course is part of the Golf Academy, where individual or group lessons are offered by PGA Golf Pros. Here you will find various training facilities such as a driving range and different putting and pitching greens.
