County Cork is Ireland’s largest and southernmost county, named after the city of Cork, the second largest in the state. It is part of the Province of Munster and the Southern Region. Its main towns are Mallow, Macroom, Midleton and Skibbereen. Its tourist attractions include the Blarney Stone at Blarney Castle. The port of Cobh, in County Cork, was the embarkation point for many Irish emigrants travelling to Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa and the United States. Fota Wildlife Park on Fota Island is also a tourist attraction.

Golf club page 11.04. — green fee per player: Green fee 18 Holes (10:00) Old Head Golf Links is built on a 220 acre diamond of land that juts out over two miles into the Atlantic Ocean. It is almost an island with numerous caves beneath your feet as you play the course. The links and practice area occupy 180 acres and the remaining 40 acres of unspoilt cliffs frame the course. It is a golf course unlike any other, making many a golfer and visitor’s eyes light up as they walk through the ancient gateway with the waves of the Atlantic Ocean crashing below.
