County Cork is Ireland’s largest and southernmost county, named after the city of Cork, the second largest in the state. It is part of the Province of Munster and the Southern Region. Its main towns are Mallow, Macroom, Midleton and Skibbereen. Its tourist attractions include the Blarney Stone at Blarney Castle. The port of Cobh, in County Cork, was the embarkation point for many Irish emigrants travelling to Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa and the United States. Fota Wildlife Park on Fota Island is also a tourist attraction.
