Golf Club Quinta do Lago
Duration: , Departure time: Q3 PACKAGE (1x South - 1x Laranjal & 1x North) more detailsQuinta do Lago Golf Club has three 18-hole courses, the North, South and Laranjal offering different challenges. The terrain is gently undulating with different lakes on each course. Quinta do Lago North measures 6,126m par 72 designed by Joseph Lee in 1989 redesigned in 2014 by Beau Welling and Paul McGinley. There are four fabulous par 5 holes, with exceptional views that require strength and accuracy to achieve a good score. The par 4 holes are all doglegs with the exception of the 10th and 13th. You will need to pay attention to the lakes on the 12th and 18th if you don't want to get wet.
The Quinta do Lago South course, a favourite of European Tour professionals is a par 72, measures 6,488 metres and was designed by William Mitchel in 1974. The course favours long hitters, although you will find different ways to get to the hole. On holes 3, 15 and 17 there are lakes to negotiate, while holes 2, 3, 5, 12, 13 and 17 are the best opportunities for birdie. A top course well worth a visit.
The Laranjal golf course was designed by Jorge Santana da Silva in the grounds of an orange grove, the par 72 course was named best golf course in Portugal in 2011 at the Portuguese Travel Awards. It is characterised by its undulating terrain on its 6,480-metre long course which will demand concentration and accuracy. Another first class course at Quinta do Lago
